Sunny Deol Prepares for Iconic Role in Ramayana Amid Anticipation

The highly anticipated film Ramayana, directed by Nitesh Tiwari and produced by Namit Malhotra, is set to begin shooting soon, with actor Sunny Deol stepping into the legendary role of Lord Hanuman. Deol expressed both excitement and apprehension about portraying such a revered figure from Indian mythology. As the project gears up, the public eagerly awaits more glimpses of the film, which has already unveiled the first looks of Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Rama and Yash as Ravana.
In a recent interview with Zoom, Deol shared his thoughts on this significant role, stating, “It will be exciting, it will be fun. It’s going to be great, it’s going to be beautiful.” His words reflect the emotional weight that comes with embodying a character of such cultural importance. The actor candidly acknowledged the feelings of “fear and nervousness” that accompany this opportunity.
Sunny Deol elaborated on these sentiments, saying, “See, nervousness or fear- that factor is there. But that’s the beauty of it, because you have to find within yourself how you’re going to take up the challenge and how you’re going to live up to it.” He emphasized the responsibility he feels, noting the chance to do justice to Lord Hanuman’s character under the guidance of a dedicated production team.
Ambitious Scope and Expectations
The production team behind Ramayana aims to create a film that rivals major Hollywood productions. Deol expressed optimism, saying, “Because they are going to bring out those supernatural things and those effects on screen, which I hope – fingers crossed – are nothing less than what Hollywood has.” He highlighted the challenge of translating the epic narrative into a cinematic experience that satisfies audiences both in India and globally.
As filming approaches, the excitement surrounding Ramayana continues to build. With a strong ensemble cast and a commitment to high production values, the film aims to deliver an engaging portrayal of one of the most celebrated stories in Indian culture. Deol remains confident that the performances will resonate with viewers, stating, “When it comes to the big screen, the way all the actors involved in it are performing, I’m sure there will be justice to everything, and people will feel satisfied and enjoy the whole film.”
As the release date draws closer, fans and moviegoers alike are eager to see how this ambitious project unfolds and how Deol embodies the spirit of Lord Hanuman on screen. The film promises not only to be a visual spectacle but also a heartfelt tribute to a timeless story that has captivated audiences for generations.
