Rumors surrounding a sequel to the blockbuster film Saiyaara have been brought to a halt by director Mohit Suri. In an interview with Faridoon Shahryar, Suri clarified that the decision lies with the producers, stating, “I’ve had my fair share of sequels. I wish them all the best.” The romantic drama, featuring debutants Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda, achieved remarkable success, grossing over ₹500 crore globally, making it the highest-grossing Indian romantic film to date.

Produced by Yash Raj Films, Saiyaara captivated audiences with its emotional narrative, chart-topping soundtrack, and organic word-of-mouth promotion, eschewing traditional marketing strategies. Suri noted that producer Aditya Chopra prefers to leave classic films untouched to preserve their original charm.

In a different realm of cinema, actor Anupam Kher has announced the establishment of the Satish Kaushik Scholarship to honor his late friend, renowned actor Satish Kaushik. Kher revealed in an Instagram video that he will utilize the ₹10 lakh prize he received with the Raj Kapoor Award to fund a scholarship for an underprivileged student at his acting school, Actor Prepares. This initiative aims to support emerging talent in the performing arts.
