TTD Implements Pilgrim Feedback, Introduces Smart Parking App
The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) has taken significant steps to enhance the experience of pilgrims visiting the Tirumala temple by reviewing feedback on its services and planning a new smart parking app. The review was led by Ch. Venkaiah Chowdary, the Additional Executive Officer of TTD, during a meeting held on Saturday, October 7, 2023, at the SPRH meeting hall in Tirumala. The meeting included participation from heads of various TTD departments who discussed the feedback collected over the past year.
Directing the implementation of improvements, Chowdary noted that TTD has been gathering input from pilgrims through various methods, including Interactive Voice Response Systems (IVRS), WhatsApp, and physical surveys conducted by Srivari Sevaks. This initiative was prompted by a directive from the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, N. Chandrababu Naidu.
Addressing Pilgrim Needs
The review focused on important facilities such as queue management, food services, sanitation, and signage. Chowdary emphasized the need for continuous inspections of amenities, particularly along pedestrian routes, to ensure that facilities like toilets and drinking water points meet the expectations of devotees. He urged departmental heads to take immediate action based on the suggestions provided by pilgrims.
Chowdary also highlighted the importance of regulating food and taxi prices in Tirumala, instructing officials to conduct regular checks to prevent overcharging. To further assist pilgrims, he recommended providing gloves for those serving Annaprasadam, a meal offered to devotees, and establishing Help Desks at both the Kalyanakatta and Laddu counters.
“The feedback mechanism has become a crucial administrative tool,” Chowdary stated, urging departments to show visible improvements before the next review.
Innovative Parking Solutions
In addition to addressing existing services, the meeting also featured a proposal from Gopark Technology Pvt Ltd for a smart parking management system. The proposed system includes a mobile app that allows for advance parking reservations and designated parking zones, aiming to reduce congestion around the temple area.
The introduction of this technology underscores TTD’s commitment to leveraging innovative solutions to enhance the overall experience for visitors. As TTD moves forward with these initiatives, the focus remains on ensuring that the needs and suggestions of pilgrims are prioritized.
