Maj Gen Ford and Jacob Lead New Committee for Anglo-Indian Association
In a recent annual general meeting, Maj Gen Glenn R Ford (retd) was elected as president, while Tina Jacob will serve as secretary of the All India Anglo-Indian Association, Nagpur Branch. The meeting took place at the St Francis De Sales Catholic Parish Hall and established a new committee that will oversee operations for the term of 2025-26.
The newly formed committee includes several notable members. Vice-presidents are Christopher Dee, Susan Coutinho, and James Lavocah. Anthony Besterwitch has been appointed as the treasurer, and the executive committee will consist of Donald Ford, Irene Jacob, Glenda Ford, and Ivan Smith. This diverse leadership team aims to invigorate the association’s activities in the year ahead.
During the meeting, attendees reflected on the significance of the occasion, which concluded with a presidential address and a prayer. These elements underscored the commitment of the association’s members to their community and heritage. The new committee has expressed its intention to implement various programs and initiatives throughout the upcoming year, aiming to engage both existing members and newcomers alike.
The All India Anglo-Indian Association has a longstanding history of promoting the interests and welfare of the Anglo-Indian community across India.
