MCC Revises UG Counselling Round II Results Following Error
The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has announced a revision of the Round-II results for the Undergraduate (UG) Counselling 2025. This decision follows the revelation that a Government Medical College mistakenly submitted double the number of seats available for allocation. The original results were released on September 18, 2025, but these have now been withdrawn for reassessment.
The MCC, operating under the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), oversees the allocation of seats in various medical programs, including MBBS, BDS, and B.Sc Nursing, across designated institutions. The recent error, which involved the over-allocation of seats in Round II, necessitated immediate action to ensure fairness and accuracy in the counselling process.
As a result of this oversight, the MCC has placed a temporary hold on reporting for candidates who were assigned seats in the initial Round-II results. Candidates are advised to refrain from proceeding with reporting until the revised final results are published. The MCC aims to rectify the situation promptly and will release updated information regarding the revised results in due course.
The revision process underscores the importance of accurate data submission within the counselling framework, as it directly impacts many students seeking admission into medical programs. Stakeholders are encouraged to stay informed through official MCC communications for the latest updates on this situation.
With the revised final results expected soon, candidates are urged to remain vigilant and prepared for the next steps in their academic journeys.
