WWE Affirms Jacob Fatu’s Future as Speculation Grows

Speculation surrounding Jacob Fatu’s future in WWE has intensified following his recent performances, particularly after the events of SummerSlam 2025. Contrary to rumors suggesting the company may be distancing itself from the wrestler, a report from Fightful Select indicates that WWE officials still hold a favorable view of Fatu’s potential.
Fatu, known as the Samoan Werewolf, kicked off 2025 with a strong showing, culminating in a victory for the US Championship at WrestleMania 41. His momentum, however, faltered at Night of Champions when he lost the title to Solo Sikoa. The situation deteriorated further as Fatu failed to reclaim the championship at SummerSlam, leaving him in a state of uncertainty regarding his storyline direction. Fans have expressed frustration over WWE’s handling of Fatu, particularly with his prolonged feud against Sikoa, which many believe has lost its appeal.
In a recent update, Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select reported that WWE executives have not abandoned their plans for Fatu. Instead, he remains viewed as a valuable asset for the long term. The uncertainty surrounding his creative direction has left fans eager for a more substantial storyline for the talented wrestler.
During an appearance on The Rich Eisen Show, Fatu was posed a question about potentially collaborating with his cousin, Roman Reigns. While he admitted he had not considered joining forces, he expressed enthusiasm about the possibility if it were to happen in the future.
As it stands, fans are keenly awaiting WWE’s next moves regarding Jacob Fatu, hoping for a storyline that showcases his abilities and engages the audience. The wrestling community remains hopeful that the organization will provide him with the opportunities he deserves.
