Global Ayyappa Sangamam to Host 3,500 Delegates in Pampa

The historic **Global Ayyappa Sangamam** will take place on Saturday, March 16, 2024, at the banks of Triveni in Pampa, attracting **3,500 delegates**. This increase of **500 delegates** comes as registration surpassed **5,000 participants**, underscoring the event’s significance. Only individuals with admission passes will be allowed entry, with registration open from **06:00 to 09:00**. The event will be inaugurated by **Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan** at **09:30** at the main venue.

The Sangamam will feature discussions focusing on the **master plan for the development of Sabarimala** across three venues. Topics include spiritual tourism at the **Hill Top venue** and crowd control at the **Pampa Sreerama Saketham Auditorium**. The **Devaswom Board** will gather insights from these discussions to inform future development activities.

Minister **V. N. Vasavan** has stated that the government is welcoming sponsorship from attendees, clarifying that there are no restrictions imposed by the High Court regarding monetary contributions. **P S Prashanth**, President of the Devaswom Board, noted that the total cost of organizing the Ayyappa Sangamam is **7 crore rupees**, which has been secured through sponsorship.

Security measures are being prioritized, with **1,000 police personnel** deployed under the supervision of **ADGP S. Sreejith** to ensure safety during the event. Since the Sabarimala temple is currently open for **Kannimasam rituals**, arrangements will be made to facilitate the movement of devotees without disruption. Additionally, facilities will be available for Sangamam representatives wishing to visit the holy shrine.

Prominent figures attending the inauguration include **Tamil Nadu ministers B.K. Sekhar Babu** and **Palanivel Thyagarajan**, as well as **Thantri Kandararu Mahesh Mohanararu**. Other notable attendees include **SNDP Yogam General Secretary Vellappally Natesan**, **NSS Vice President N. Sangeethkumar**, and representatives from various organizations such as the **Malayaraya Samajam** and **Kerala Brahmin Sabha**.
