International Conference Showcases Innovations in Electronics and Green Energy
An international conference focused on emerging technologies in electronics and green energy took place on March 15, 2024, at the JSS Science and Technology University (JSS STU) in Mysuru, India. Organized in collaboration with IEEE Bengaluru and IEEE Mysuru, the event aimed to highlight innovations and advancements in engineering while fostering collaboration between academia and industry.
The conference addressed ten specialized areas within circuit disciplines, including electronics, electrical engineering, and computer science. A total of 864 papers were submitted from various countries, and after a rigorous peer review process, 164 papers were selected for presentation. Contributions came from a diverse range of locations, including the United States, Germany, and Saudi Arabia, alongside leading institutions from India.
The event was inaugurated by B. Suresh, director of the Technical Education Division at JSS Mahavidyapeetha. The keynote address was delivered by Sundaraja Sitharama Iyengar, director of the Centre of Excellence in Digital Forensic at Florida International University. He discussed the integration of artificial intelligence and machine learning in sustainable green energy systems, emphasizing the importance of next-generation technologies in achieving sustainability and innovation.
A.N. Santosh Kumar, Vice-Chancellor of JSS STU, highlighted the need to bridge the skill gap in the industry, adapt to global trends, and promote sustainability through effective e-waste management, recycling, and green energy regulations. His remarks underscored the critical role of innovation in advancing global technology towards greener solutions.
The conference featured an array of plenary lectures and panel discussions led by experts from the Indian Institute of Science and the National Aerospace Laboratory, providing attendees with insights into the latest developments in the field. The event successfully created a platform for dialogue and collaboration among researchers, industry leaders, and students, reinforcing the significance of electronics and green energy in shaping a sustainable future.
