Gordon Ramsay Launches First Indian Restaurant at IGIA

Celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay has officially opened his first restaurant in India, located at Terminal 1 of Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA). This marks a significant expansion for Gordon Ramsay Restaurants, which has been serving international audiences since its founding in 1997.
The restaurant, named Street Burger, features a diverse menu that incorporates local flavours. Signature dishes include the Tandoori Paneer, the Butternut Bhaji Burger, and the fan-favourite Gordon’s Fried Chicken (GFC) Burger. Additional offerings encompass Hotter than Hell Fries, Crisp Vegan Bites, and a variety of chef-crafted salads. For those with a sweet tooth, dessert options feature Sticky Toffee Pudding, milkshakes, and a selection of expertly crafted cocktails.
Vision for Indian Culinary Scene
Andy Wenlock, CEO of Gordon Ramsay Restaurants Global, expressed enthusiasm about entering the Indian market. He stated, “India’s passion for its rich culinary heritage makes it a natural home for Street Burger. With a reputation for warm hospitality and a love for vibrant, flavour-intense food, we’re excited to see how travellers embrace this dynamic new chapter in our business.”
The launch reflects a growing trend in India’s aviation sector, which is evolving to meet the demands of modern travellers. Varun Kapur, Managing Director & CEO of Travel Food Services Limited, noted, “Indian travellers today expect global-quality dining that’s fast, relevant, and elevated. As India’s aviation sector rapidly evolves, this launch reflects the shift in what airport experiences can and should be, and we’re committed to driving that evolution forward.”
The opening of Street Burger is seen as a significant milestone for both Ramsay’s brand and the Indian culinary landscape, promising an exciting dining experience for both local and international travellers at IGIA.
