Light rain fell in parts of Ahmedabad on Thursday, contributing to a notably humid atmosphere. The city recorded maximum and minimum temperatures of 34.6 degrees Celsius and 26.5 degrees Celsius, both of which are above normal for this time of year. The high humidity levels were evident, with readings reaching 83% at 08:30 and 65% by 17:30.

According to a bulletin from the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the current line of withdrawal of the southwest monsoon is positioned at Deesa and Bhuj. This geographical marker indicates the ongoing transition of monsoonal patterns in the region.

Forecasts suggest that light rain is likely to continue across various parts of Gujarat over the next five days. Areas in south Gujarat are expected to experience heavier rainfall, while light showers may occur in most other regions, with the exception of certain areas in Kutch and north Gujarat.

The weather conditions are typical for this period, reflecting a gradual progression of the monsoon season. This rain can offer some relief from the heat and contribute to local agriculture, which often relies on seasonal precipitation. Residents and officials alike will be keeping an eye on the weather reports as conditions evolve in the coming days.
