The Lieutenant Governor also announced the initiation of a formal investigation to determine the cause of the explosion. “I have ordered a probe to ascertain the cause of the accidental explosion,” he added, highlighting the government’s commitment to uncovering the circumstances surrounding this unfortunate event.

Chief Minister Omar Abdullah also expressed his condolences, extending heartfelt sympathies to the bereaved families. He stated, “I pray for the swift recovery of all those injured,” reflecting the collective grief felt across the region.

The tragic incident has left a significant impact on the local community, with 27 others reported injured. Emergency services have been mobilized to provide medical assistance to the victims.
