Stars Shine at Luxembourg Ladies Tennis Masters Welcome Dinner
The 2025 Luxembourg Ladies Tennis Masters kicked off with a glamorous welcome dinner attended by prominent names in tennis, including Eugenie Bouchard, Kim Clijsters, and Angelique Kerber. The event took place on October 8, 2025, at the Coque Arena in Luxembourg-Kirchberg, just ahead of the tournament scheduled from October 9 to October 12, 2025.
This year marks the fourth edition of the Luxembourg Legends Invitational, featuring eight former WTA stars, half of whom are former top-10 players. The official Instagram account for the tournament shared highlights from the evening, including a group photo. The tournament format includes quarterfinals, semifinals, and a final, offering an exciting showcase of talent and sportsmanship.
The Luxembourg Ladies Tennis Masters has a rich history, with past winners including Kim Clijsters in 2022, Anett Kontaveit in 2023, and Kirsten Flipkens in 2024. This year, the total prize purse is set at €110,000, with €50,000 awarded to the tournament champion.
One notable participant is former World No. 1 Angelique Kerber, who will make her debut at the Luxembourg Legends Invitational. After officially retiring from professional tennis following the 2024 Olympic Games, Kerber brings a wealth of experience, having won three Grand Slam titles: the Australian Open, the US Open in 2016, and Wimbledon in 2018. She has also claimed 14 WTA singles titles, establishing herself as one of the most successful players of her generation.
Joining Kerber at the tournament are other celebrated former players such as defending champion Kirsten Flipkens, Anett Kontaveit, Kim Clijsters, Eugenie Bouchard, Alizé Cornet, Barbora Strycová, and Anabel Medina Garrigues. The competition promises to be fierce, with a blend of seasoned champions and rising talents eager to claim the title.
As the tournament unfolds, tennis fans can anticipate thrilling matches and memorable moments, further enhancing the legacy of the Luxembourg Ladies Tennis Masters as an essential stop for elite women’s tennis.
