Liverpool Eyes £130 Million Deal for Isak Amid Transfer Buzz
Liverpool has initiated a significant move to secure Newcastle United striker Alexander Isak for a record-breaking £130 million. This transfer approach will be formally presented to Newcastle following their Premier League match against Liverpool at St James’ Park on Monday. Sources indicate that Liverpool is optimistic about persuading Newcastle to part with the 25-year-old forward, particularly after Isak made a public statement on Instagram, suggesting that commitments made to him have not been upheld. Despite this, Newcastle’s management has reportedly reacted negatively to Isak’s comments, potentially hardening their stance against a transfer.
Liverpool is also targeting Crystal Palace centre-back Marc Guéhi, with plans to offer £35 million for his services before the transfer window closes. These ambitious moves reflect Liverpool’s strategy to strengthen their squad ahead of the upcoming season.
In a related development, Manchester City has reached an agreement in principle with Gianluigi Donnarumma, the goalkeeper for Paris Saint-Germain. According to reports from football journalist Nicolo Schira, the contract is set to run until 2030. City aims to finalize a deal to bring the 26-year-old to the Etihad Stadium, with PSG reportedly open to negotiations but seeking a transfer fee in the region of €50 million. Progress on this deal is expected to accelerate once Ederson, City’s current goalkeeper, completes his move to Galatasaray, as he has already agreed on personal terms with the Turkish club.
The transfer landscape is buzzing with activity, with several clubs eyeing new signings and potential outgoings. Chelsea is reportedly advancing discussions to sign Alejandro Garnacho, a winger from Manchester United, with the 21-year-old keen on joining Chelsea despite interest from Bayern Munich. Manchester United is holding out for a fee of around £50 million for the young talent.
Meanwhile, Atalanta is considering a move for AC Milan’s Yunus Musah, with a potential offer of €25 million. Musah, who has drawn interest from various clubs, may find himself in high demand as the transfer window progresses.
There are also intriguing developments concerning Brazilian club Palmeiras, which has made considerable profits from the sales of young talents in recent years. Now, 19-year-old centre-back Luiz Benedetti is attracting attention from notable clubs, including Barcelona, Arsenal, and Napoli. Standing at an imposing 6-foot-6, Benedetti’s physical presence on the field has made him a desirable prospect.
As the transfer window nears its conclusion, clubs are making decisive moves. RB Leipzig is reportedly intensifying efforts to secure a permanent deal for Chelsea forward Christopher Nkunku, while Newcastle United may look to acquire Ollie Watkins from Aston Villa if Villa finalizes a deal for Nicolas Jackson.
Additionally, Crystal Palace’s attacking midfielder Eberechi Eze is expected to finalize a £50 million move to Tottenham Hotspur in the coming days, with Palace eyeing Southampton’s Tyler Dibling as a potential replacement.
The transfer market is ever-evolving, and as clubs look to bolster their squads, fans and analysts alike are watching closely to see how these negotiations unfold. With ambitious bids and strategic moves in play, the next few days are likely to shape the landscape of European football significantly.
