CBSE Cluster IX Volleyball Tournament Set to Kick Off in Mumbai
The CBSE Cluster IX Volleyball Tournament will take place from August 20 to 22, 2023, at the MVM International School in Andheri, Mumbai. Approximately 2,000 volleyball players from prominent CBSE schools across Maharashtra, Goa, Daman, Diu, and Dadra Nagar Haveli will compete in this significant event, marking the first time the tournament is being hosted in Mumbai.
Defending Champions and Local Contenders Prepare
Among the participants, the Defence Career Academy from Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar will defend its title in the Under-19 boys’ category, while the Millennium School from Pune will lead the charge for the girls’ teams. Both schools are well-known for their strong volleyball programs and will be looking to maintain their positions as leaders in the sport.
Local teams will also be in contention, with Bal Bharati Public School from Navi Mumbai, Holy Angels School in Thane, and Mar Thoma Vidyapeeth, also in Thane, preparing to challenge the defending champions. These schools have shown impressive performance in regional competitions and are eager to make their mark on this larger stage.
