KIET Deemed University Status Announced at InnoTech ’25 Launch

The KIET Group of Institutions has been officially elevated to deemed university status, as announced by Union Minister Dr Jitendra Singh during the launch of InnoTech ’25 on Friday. This significant recognition aligns with the government’s ongoing commitment to fostering innovation, research, and entrepreneurship within the educational sector.

In his opening remarks, Dr Singh unveiled the event logo for InnoTech ’25, highlighting the initiative’s alignment with the Government of India’s vision of Viksit Bharat @2047. He emphasized that the event underscores India’s expanding innovation landscape and its growing prominence in the global science and technology arena. Addressing an audience that included students, faculty, researchers, and industry leaders, he remarked, “InnoTech ’25 is a celebration of technology, innovation, and entrepreneurship, which is visible all over the country and most prominently in KIET’s campus today.”

He recognized the support from various governmental bodies, including the Department of Science & Technology, the Ministry of Earth Sciences, and the Department of Biotechnology, which have contributed significantly to elevating standards in research and education.

During the event, he highlighted prominent government research initiatives such as the VAIBHAV Fellowship and the BIRAC programme, both aimed at fostering collaborative scientific advancements.
