Punjab Government Takes Action to Resolve Employee Concerns

The Punjab Government has initiated a proactive approach to address employee concerns by engaging with representatives from 47 unions. This effort, led by Harpal Singh Cheema, the Finance Minister and Chairman of the Cabinet Sub-Committee, aims to resolve long-standing issues faced by various sectors, including education, health, and power.

• Immediate Resolution at Department Level: Senior officials have been instructed to address all issues that can be resolved at the departmental level without unnecessary delays, ensuring swift action.
• Coordination for Complex Matters: For issues with legal or financial implications, departments must closely collaborate with the Advocate General’s Office, the Department of Personnel, and the Finance Department to expedite resolutions.

During the extensive five-hour discussions, Harpal Singh Cheema reaffirmed the Cabinet Sub-Committee’s commitment to employee welfare.
