Alia Bhatt Reveals Early Bedtime Routine with Ranbir Kapoor
Alia Bhatt recently shared insights into her transformed lifestyle as a mother during an appearance on the talk show Two Much, hosted by Kajol and Twinkle Khanna. The actress revealed that she and her husband, Ranbir Kapoor, now adhere to an early bedtime routine, going to sleep by 9:30 PM. Their daughter, Raha Kapoor, is the driving force behind this significant change in their daily rhythms.
During the episode, Bhatt discussed the profound impact of motherhood on her life. She expressed that her sleep schedule has become especially rigid. “When you have a baby, your body clock changes. Even if you don’t want to wake up, she will wake you up,” she remarked with a laugh. Bhatt emphasized her appreciation for rest, noting, “I really love sleeping. Sometimes I’m asleep by 9:30 PM, and I feel so joyful counting the hours I’ve slept.” She added that Kapoor aligns with her schedule, typically going to bed just thirty minutes later.
Motherhood and Societal Expectations
The discussion on Two Much transitioned to the broader societal expectations placed on women, particularly those who have recently given birth. Kajol pointed out that many women impose these expectations on themselves, while Twinkle Khanna countered that societal pressures often demand a quick return to pre-pregnancy bodies. “They expect everyone to go back to size-zero after a baby, and if you don’t, they judge you,” Khanna said, with Kajol agreeing about the scrutiny both women face externally and internally.
Bhatt shared her personal experience, which she found surprising. “After giving birth to Raha, I actually lost weight very quickly. Apparently, breastfeeding burns a lot of calories, and since I was also eating clean, the weight just dropped naturally,” she explained. However, this rapid weight loss led to online criticism. “When a picture of mine surfaced, trolls claimed I must have used unnatural methods. Some even said, ‘Why did she have to lose weight so quickly? It’s okay, take your time, Alia. We get it, you have had a baby.’ But honestly, it just happened on its own,” she recounted.
Despite the negativity surrounding her weight loss, Bhatt highlighted a positive trend: the increasing acceptance of diverse body types. She noted, “I liked that people were saying, ‘You do you, be whatever size you want to be.’ Nobody really cares anymore, and that’s refreshing.”
Navigating Motherhood and Public Perception
Through her candid reflections, Alia Bhatt has opened a dialogue about the challenges and liberating aspects of motherhood. Her experiences resonate with many, serving as a reminder that every journey is unique and that judgment should be left behind. Balancing her early bedtime with the demands of parenting, Bhatt continues to inspire her fans with her honesty and authenticity.
As she navigates the complexities of motherhood in the public eye, Alia Bhatt’s story underscores the importance of embracing one’s individual path and celebrating the diverse experiences that come with being a parent.
