Swadeshi Festival 2025 Celebrates Culture, Health, and Sports

The Swadeshi Festival 2025, held at Parade Ground in Sector 5, Panchkula, has become a vibrant hub of health, sports, culture, and indigenous products, attracting thousands of visitors each day. On its seventh day, the festival continued to advocate for self-reliance and celebrate Indian traditions, extending beyond the typical fair experience.

More than 200 stalls showcase a variety of Ayurvedic medicines, herbal products, handicrafts, traditional textiles, household items, and local cuisine. This impressive array reinforces the festival’s central message of embracing Swadeshi products to promote economic self-sufficiency.

Engaging Cultural Experiences

The festival features high-energy cultural programs that have captivated audiences. Performances such as the Kacchi Ghodi dance, yoga demonstrations, folk performances, and Haryanvi songs have added to the lively atmosphere. A bodybuilding contest and a magic show provided additional excitement, while a dramatic enactment of the Ramayana by the group ‘Jad Se Judo’ emerged as a standout attraction, earning enthusiastic applause from the crowd.

Focus on Health and Sport

A free health check-up camp has attracted hundreds, offering tests for blood pressure, sugar levels, and general health assessments. Traditional sports like Kabaddi and equestrian competitions have showcased local talent and enthusiasm, significantly boosting interest in indigenous games.

Organisers Rajesh Goyal and Rajneesh Garg stated that the festival aims to inspire society towards better health, moral values, and national pride while promoting the Swadeshi ideology as a means of achieving economic and cultural strength. They highlighted the importance of integrating health, sports, culture, and self-reliance, marking the festival as a significant socio-cultural movement in the region.
