Nara Lokesh Declares Telugu Desam Party’s Enduring Strength
Nara Lokesh, national general secretary of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) and the state’s IT minister, reaffirmed the party’s permanence in the political landscape of Andhra Pradesh during a recent event in Palakonda. Speaking to party activists while paying tribute to the founder N.T. Rama Rao, Lokesh emphasized that while individuals may change, the TDP’s core remains steadfast.
Lokesh commended TDP workers for their pivotal role in reclaiming power, suggesting they successfully liberated the state from what he described as the previous government’s “psycho rule.” His remarks underscored the resilience of the party’s cadre, who faced various challenges, including intimidation and fabricated legal issues, while remaining committed to the party’s goals.
The minister attributed the party’s significant electoral success in 2024 to the unwavering dedication of its members, referring to them as the driving force behind the TDP’s historic gains. He noted the importance of unity and discipline within the ranks as the party aims for continued success.
Focus on Development and Support for Workers
In his address, Lokesh highlighted several major initiatives in northern Andhra, including the expansion of pension schemes and the introduction of free bus travel for women. He urged officials to treat TDP workers with the respect they deserve and to uphold their legal obligations to the public.
“The party’s strength lies in its cadre. We must continue to work with discipline and determination,” Lokesh stated, as he called for unified efforts to secure a return to power in 2029. His message resonated with party members, reinforcing their commitment to the TDP and its future aspirations.
The event, attended by numerous party activists, served as a reminder of the TDP’s foundational values and its vision for the future of Andhra Pradesh. With Lokesh at the helm, the party aims to maintain its influence in the state’s political arena while advocating for policies that benefit its constituents.
