Turning Point Confirms Charlie Kirk’s Pressure Before Death

In a recent development, Turning Point USA confirmed that messages from the late commentator Charlie Kirk regarding pressure from Jewish donors were authentic. This acknowledgment follows claims made by fellow commentator Candace Owens, who suggested that Kirk faced significant pressure just two days before he was tragically killed in Utah.

Owens shared text messages on her platform, revealing that Kirk had lost a substantial Jewish sponsor shortly before his death. “Just lost another huge Jewish donor. $2 million a year because we won’t cancel Tucker,” Kirk reportedly wrote. He expressed frustration, indicating that he felt bullied and pressured by the influence of Jewish donors, stating, “I cannot and will not be bullied like this. Leaving me no choice but to leave the pro-Israel cause.”

Turning Point spokesperson Andrew Kolvet confirmed the authenticity of these messages, asserting that they were indeed part of private communications. Although he chose not to publicize the chats initially, Kolvet stated that he ensured relevant government officials were informed. He emphasized that it was unfair for anyone to suggest that Turning Point did not care about the circumstances surrounding Kirk’s death.

In addition to the text messages, Kolvet highlighted that Kirk had sent a letter to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, warning him about the diminishing support for Israel in the United States. He described Kirk as a figure who could not be easily controlled, noting, “Charlie was wonderfully defiant. He was wonderfully independent, and he believed in the freedom of speech.”

Owens has faced backlash for her comments surrounding Kirk’s death, with critics accusing her of exploiting the tragedy for attention. Despite the criticism, she maintains that as a close friend of Kirk, she will not be silenced by what she describes as misinformation regarding the circumstances of his assassination. Some detractors have also pointed to an older video of Kirk, arguing that he was not as close to Owens as she claims.

The unfolding events have highlighted the complex intersections of political influence, donor relationships, and free speech within the context of Kirk’s untimely death. As this story continues to develop, the implications for both Turning Point and the broader discourse surrounding Israel and its supporters in the United States remain significant.
