Lieutenant Governor Visits Flood Victims, Promises Swift Action

Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha visited the Government Medical College in Jammu today to assess the condition of individuals injured in the recent flash floods in Chashoti. During his visit, Sinha received updates from medical professionals regarding the treatment of the injured, emphasizing the need for a comprehensive approach to their care for swift recovery. Currently, 16 individuals are receiving treatment at the medical facility, under the supervision of senior health staff.
In a statement made to the press, Sinha reaffirmed the administration’s commitment to locating the 32 missing persons still unaccounted for following the disaster. “The government stands firmly with the bereaved family members who have lost their loved ones. Along with relief and rescue efforts, both the Government of India and the Jammu and Kashmir administration are dedicated to ensuring rapid rehabilitation of the affected families,” he stated.
Search and rescue operations are in full swing as authorities work tirelessly to find those who are missing. The Lieutenant Governor highlighted that the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) and the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) are on standby to respond to any emergencies that may arise as the situation develops.
In light of ongoing adverse weather conditions, Sinha urged residents to take necessary safety precautions. An advisory regarding inclement weather has been issued to ensure public awareness and preparedness.
The administration remains focused on providing comprehensive support to those affected by this tragic natural calamity, demonstrating a strong resolve in the face of adversity.
