Land Rover Launches MY26 Discovery SUV in India with New Editions

Land Rover has officially launched the MY26 Discovery SUV in India, with prices starting at ₹1.26 crore (ex-showroom). The British automaker has introduced two distinctive trims, the Gemini and Tempest editions, both featuring unique design elements that set them apart in the competitive SUV market.
Distinct Features of Gemini and Tempest Editions
Both new editions of the Discovery come equipped with a powerful 3.0-liter six-cylinder, turbocharged mild-hybrid diesel engine, generating an impressive 350 horsepower. This engine is paired with a nine-speed torque converter automatic gearbox, ensuring robust performance across various driving conditions.
The Discovery Tempest edition boasts exclusive design features, including the unique Petra Copper shade for its dual-tone alloy wheels, roof, and ‘Discovery’ lettering on the hood. Its exterior design includes an updated grille with hexagonal elements finished in Graphite Atlas gloss. Additional highlights include a puddle lamp projecting a distinctive ‘Tempest’ symbol and silver-finished door sill plates. Customers can choose from three exterior colors: Carpathian Gray, Varesine Blue, and Charente Gray.
Inside, the Tempest edition offers multiple interior hue options: an Ebony interior with an Ebony headliner, a Caraway interior with a Light Oyster headliner, and a Light Oyster/Ebony combination with a Light Oyster headliner. The model is equipped with advanced features such as a 12.3-inch digital driver’s display, an 11.4-inch infotainment system, and a 12-speaker Meridian sound system.
Affordable Luxury with the Gemini Edition
The Discovery Gemini edition, positioned as the most affordable model in India for 2026, features a gloss black roof and 21-inch silver alloy wheels. It includes silver skid plates with exclusive hexagonal motifs and a silver-finished grille. The available color options for the Gemini edition include all colors except Charente Gray, which is exclusive to the Tempest edition.
Inside the Gemini edition, customers have the option of leatherette or fabric materials. Interior themes include an Ebony interior with an Ebony headliner, a Light Oyster interior with a Light Oyster headliner, and a Light Oyster/Ebony combination. Key features mirror those of the Tempest edition, including a three-zone climate control system, powered steering column, and a 360-degree camera.
The Tempest edition enhances the Gemini’s offerings with additional features such as a head-up display (HUD), a 14-speaker Meridian sound system, four-zone climate control, powered third-row seats, and a heated steering wheel, making it a more luxurious choice for discerning customers.
With these two new editions, Land Rover aims to enhance its presence in the Indian market, appealing to customers seeking both performance and luxury. The launch reflects Land Rover’s commitment to combining innovative technology with sophisticated design, catering to the evolving preferences of SUV enthusiasts.
