During their discussion, the leaders addressed the introduction of the Vande Bharat Train service connecting Agartala and Guwahati. Additionally, they talked about plans to double railway tracks and introduce electric trains to enhance operational efficiency.

Dr. Saha shared insights via social media, stating, “Today, I met Hon’ble Union Cabinet Minister Shri @AshwiniVaishnaw Ji at Rail Bhawan, New Delhi. We discussed several key initiatives as a step towards strengthening the vision of Viksit Tripura, Viksit Bharat by Hon’ble PM Shri @narendramodi Ji.” His remarks highlight the alignment of state and national objectives aimed at improving infrastructure.

Moreover, the meeting covered the introduction of new and upgraded coaches for long-distance travel, which is expected to significantly improve the quality of service for commuters. Enhancements to railway stations were also on the agenda, focusing on better facilities and maintenance.

Cyber Security and Development Projects

In addition to railways, the conversation included the development of a Cyber Security Hub in Tripura, which aims to bolster the state’s digital security framework. Dr. Saha emphasized the importance of cybersecurity in today’s digital age, especially for a region looking to modernize its infrastructure.

The Chief Minister also mentioned plans for new and upgraded buildings for the Television and Film Institute of Tripura (TFTI) in Agartala. This initiative is part of a wider effort to promote educational and vocational training opportunities in the media sector.
