Chief Minister Revanth Reddy Advocates for Telangana’s Global Brand
A. Revanth Reddy, the Chief Minister of Telangana, emphasized the necessity for a robust branding strategy as the state prepares for the Telangana Rising Global Summit on December 8 and 9. During a review meeting held at his residence, he articulated the importance of making Hyderabad a prime destination for international investments, aiming to instill confidence in the state’s future while reflecting its historical and contemporary significance.
Strategic Initiatives for Global Engagement
Revanth Reddy’s comments came as he assessed promotional materials for the summit, which will occur at Bharat Future City. He urged officials to present a clear, sector-wise outline of major initiatives aimed at attracting global delegates. The Chief Minister underscored that the promotional content must effectively communicate the facilities, infrastructure, and investment opportunities available in Telangana.
Highlighting Hyderabad’s competitive advantages, he directed teams to showcase key transportation projects, including the Inner Ring Road, Outer Ring Road, and the upcoming Regional Ring Road. Additionally, proposed developments such as a greenfield highway and railway link to the Bandar Port in Machilipatnam, Andhra Pradesh, along with planned dry port facilities, should feature prominently. These initiatives should be presented alongside Telangana’s rich cultural heritage, linguistic diversity, climate, and artistic expression.
Incorporating Telangana’s Identity
Revanth Reddy also pointed out the state’s consistent policy stability since 1999, which he believes has contributed significantly to sustaining investor confidence. He instructed officials to creatively weave Telangana’s unique heritage into the branding narrative. This includes incorporating visuals of the Ramappa Temple, the Sammakka-Saralamma Jatara, and local wildlife from the Nallamala forests. The branding should also celebrate notable figures from Telangana, such as former Prime Minister P.V. Narasimha Rao, as well as local artists and sportspersons.
The Chief Minister emphasized the importance of effectively utilizing various media platforms—print, electronic, and digital—to engage both national and international audiences. The messaging should reflect that while Telangana is deeply rooted in its history and culture, it is also rapidly evolving into a hub for innovation, sustainability, and extensive industrial growth.
Participating in the review meeting were key officials, including IT Minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu, Chief Secretary K. Ramakrishna Rao, and several principal secretaries and advisors. Their collaborative efforts are aimed at ensuring that the summit not only promotes investment opportunities but also celebrates the essence of Telangana as a progressive state.
