Josh Bilicki has officially secured a full-time driving position with SS Green Light Racing for the upcoming 2026 O’Reilly Auto Parts (Xfinity) Series. The announcement was made on Saturday, November 29, marking a significant move in the career of the 30-year-old veteran driver. Bilicki will take the wheel of the No. 07 Chevrolet, a car that had several drivers behind it in the previous season.

With over 230 starts across NASCAR’s three national series, Bilicki has a wealth of experience. He has primarily competed in the Xfinity Series in recent years, driving for DGM Racing on a part-time basis. His best finishes during the 2023 season were a 14th place at the season-opening race in Daytona and a similar finish at Sonoma Raceway in July. DGM Racing recently confirmed that Bilicki would not return for the next season, paving the way for his new opportunity.

Bilicki’s journey in NASCAR includes noteworthy performances in the NASCAR Truck Series as well. He made two starts with Niece Motorsports, achieving top-10 finishes in both races. In 2024, he recorded a 10th-place finish at Watkins Glen International and another top-10 at the Charlotte Roval. His versatility and skill have also earned him select opportunities with prestigious teams, including Joe Gibbs Racing, where he drove the No. 19 Toyota in a limited number of Xfinity races.

Team Dynamics and Future Prospects

Bilicki’s addition to SS Green Light Racing is expected to strengthen their team dynamics. He has previously raced for the team in select Xfinity Series events since 2021. Team owner Bobby Dotter expressed his confidence in Bilicki, praising his work ethic and ability to adapt. Dotter stated that Bilicki embodies the team culture and is poised to enhance their overall performance.

SS Green Light Racing has been a fixture in the NASCAR landscape since its inception in the Truck Series in 2000. The team shifted its focus to the Xfinity Series full-time after 2017 and has completed over 735 races. Notably, they achieved a significant victory in 2022 when Cole Custer won at Auto Club Speedway in the No. 07 car.

With the 2026 season approaching, Bilicki’s transition to a full-time role is a promising development for both him and SS Green Light Racing. As he prepares to take the track, fans and analysts alike will be watching closely to see how this veteran driver capitalizes on this new opportunity in his racing career.
