Prince Andrew’s Emails to Epstein Reveal Ongoing Contact Amid Scandal
Disgraced British royal Prince Andrew allegedly continued to communicate with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein months after claiming he had severed ties with him. Recent revelations include an email sent on February 28, 2011, where Andrew expressed a desire to “ride out” their scandal together and mentioned they would “play some more soon,” according to a report by The New York Post.
The email was reportedly sent just one day after a controversial photograph emerged. The image depicts Andrew with Ghislaine Maxwell and Virginia Roberts Giuffre, who has accused the prince of sexual abuse. In the correspondence, Andrew expressed his concern for Epstein, stating, “I’m just as concerned for you!” He urged Epstein to “keep in close touch,” signing off with, “We’ll play some more soon!!!!”
This email came from Andrew’s official royal account, signed as “HRH The Duke of York KG,” while Epstein’s email address was confirmed as authentic by The Sun. Despite Andrew’s previous claims that he had cut off contact with Epstein in December 2010, this newly surfaced email contradicts that statement. Andrew had said he traveled to New York to end their friendship in person, three months before the email was allegedly sent.
The photograph that prompted renewed scrutiny was taken in March 2001 at Maxwell’s London townhouse, featuring Andrew with his arm around a then-17-year-old Giuffre. It was first published on February 27, 2011, the day before Andrew’s email. Previously, the Duke of York denied ever meeting Giuffre and suggested that the photograph could have been “doctored.”
Giuffre has long claimed that she was trafficked by Epstein to engage in sexual activity with Andrew, accusations the prince has consistently denied. Tragically, both Giuffre and Epstein have since died by suicide, further complicating the narrative surrounding these allegations.
The emergence of these emails raises significant questions about Andrew’s earlier denials and his relationship with Epstein. As investigations into Epstein’s extensive network of abuse continue, the implications of Andrew’s communications may have lasting effects on his public standing and the monarchy as a whole.
