Post-Mortem Report on Zubeen Garg to Be Submitted in Court

In a significant development regarding the death of cultural icon Zubeen Garg, the Chief of the Special Investigation Team (SIT), Munna Prasad Gupta, announced that the post-mortem report will be submitted directly to the court and will not be made public. Gupta stated that the investigation is proceeding efficiently and within the bounds of legal procedures. “The SIT has already received the post-mortem report, but it will be presented directly before the court,” he confirmed. Gupta indicated that investigations are underway in Singapore, with all relevant information already provided to local authorities. “Once formal approval is obtained, our team will visit Singapore for further investigation,” he added.

Regarding the legal framework surrounding the inquiry, Gupta mentioned that individuals currently in 14-day judicial custody cannot be questioned again at this stage, adhering to legal provisions. He reassured the public that the investigation is being conducted transparently and professionally, stating, “All developments will be communicated responsibly as the investigation progresses.”
