Prime Minister Narendra Modi participated in the ‘Sansad Karyashala,’ a two-day workshop organized by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for members of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) on March 10-11, 2024. During this event, held at the GMC Balayogi Auditorium in Delhi, Modi engaged with MPs to discuss a wide range of national issues while also providing guidance on effective governance.

The workshop featured presentations and discussions designed to foster collaboration among party members. Notably, Prime Minister Modi was observed sitting in the last row, attentively listening to the various presentations. Union Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal proposed significant reforms concerning the Goods and Services Tax (GST), which received unanimous support from all attending MPs. According to sources, the Prime Minister was acknowledged for his role in advancing GST reform.

In a post on X, Modi remarked, “Attended the ‘Sansad Karyashala’ in Delhi’s GMC Balayogi auditorium. MP colleagues from all over India and other senior leaders exchanged valuable perspectives on diverse issues. In our party, platforms like ‘Sansad Karyashala’ are important because they are great forums to learn from each other and deliberate on how we can serve people even better.”

The first day of the workshop commenced at 11:00 AM and comprised two key sessions. The initial session, titled “Towards a Developed India,” featured contributions from several party leaders, including Kamlesh Paswan, Sudhanshu Trivedi, Bansuri Swaraj, and Hemang Joshi. This segment highlighted Prime Minister Modi’s vision for GST, emphasizing its importance for national development.

The second session focused on the “Effective Use of Social Media by MPs.” Leaders such as Jyotirmoy Mahato, C.P. Joshi, Atul Gagga, and Sangeeta Yadav shared insights on leveraging social media to enhance communication with constituents.

In the afternoon, MPs engaged in committee discussions that covered critical sectors including agriculture, defense, energy, education, railways, and transportation. Union Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal noted that Modi’s interaction with the MPs provided “visionary guidance” regarding the implementation of public welfare schemes and national interests.

BJP MP Ravi Kishan praised the Prime Minister’s approachable demeanor, posting a picture on X that captured Modi sitting just a few feet away from him in the audience. This moment underscored the Prime Minister’s commitment to fostering an inclusive dialogue among party members.

As the workshop concluded, the insights and proposals discussed are expected to influence future legislative actions and party strategies, further enhancing the NDA’s governance approach in India.
