Uttar Pradesh Police Honored for Engagement at Trade Show
The Uttar Pradesh Police received recognition for their public engagement efforts at the third edition of the UP International Trade Show (UPITS). The event, which concluded on March 3, 2024, in Gautam Buddh Nagar, showcased participation from various sectors and was jointly organized by the Uttar Pradesh government and India Exposition Mart.
Under the leadership of DGP Rajeev Krishna, the Uttar Pradesh Police established a comprehensive stall in Hall No. 4. This stall featured an array of services and innovations from different police units, demonstrating the force’s commitment to enhancing public safety and trust. The exhibition highlighted several citizen-centric initiatives and the technological advancements incorporated into modern policing models.
The evaluation process for the stalls involved a thorough assessment of all 15 halls at the trade show. Organizers selected the top three stalls from each hall based on criteria such as size, setup, ambience, and visitor footfall. The stall set up by the Uttar Pradesh Police distinguished itself, earning a place among the winners.
At a formal award ceremony, held on March 3, Superintendent of Police Nidhi Sonkar, representing the UP Police, received the accolade. The award was presented by Nand Gopal Gupta ‘Nandi’, the cabinet minister for industrial development, export promotion, and NRI investment, alongside cabinet minister Rakesh Sachan. The ceremony also saw the attendance of Alok Kumar, principal secretary for multiple departments including Sports & Youth Welfare and MSME & Export Promotion.
This recognition not only underscores the Uttar Pradesh Police’s dedication to community engagement but also reflects the innovative approaches being adopted across law enforcement agencies. By showcasing their advancements in technology and service delivery, the UP Police aim to foster stronger relationships with the communities they serve, ultimately enhancing overall public safety.
