The President also urged industry leaders to continue innovating and to focus on sustainable practices to meet the demands of a changing global market. She emphasized the importance of embracing technology and enhancing skill development among the workforce to secure India’s position as a leader in engineering exports.
Government Support and Strategic Initiatives
Piyush Goyal outlined several government initiatives aimed at boosting exports, including the Production-Linked Incentive (PLI) scheme, which incentivizes manufacturing in key sectors. He reiterated the government’s commitment to creating a business-friendly environment that fosters growth and attracts foreign investment.
According to Goyal, the government is focused on not only increasing export volumes but also improving the quality of products and services to compete more effectively on the world stage. “Our aim is to not just meet targets but to exceed them,” he stated.
The Platinum Jubilee celebrations also featured discussions on strategies for expanding trade relations with countries across the globe. Industry experts were invited to share insights on market trends and the need for collaboration among businesses to enhance India’s export potential.
As the EEPC looks to the future, its leadership remains optimistic about the potential for further growth in the engineering sector. The event served as a reminder of the collective efforts required from government, industry, and academia to propel India’s trade ambitions forward.
In conclusion, the celebrations highlighted not only past achievements but also the shared commitment among stakeholders to navigate the complexities of international trade. With an eye on innovation and sustainability, India’s engineering sector is poised for continued success in the years ahead.
