Pakistan Honors General Charles A. Flynn with Military Award

The government of Pakistan has awarded the prestigious Hilal-e-Imtiaz (Military) to General Charles A. Flynn, the U.S. Army Chief of the Pacific. This distinction marks him as the recipient of the second-highest military honor in Pakistan, a recognition bestowed during his recent visit to the country.
During the ceremony, General Asim Munir, the Chief of Army Staff of Pakistan, highlighted General Flynn’s significant contributions to enhancing the defense partnership between the two nations. He noted that Pakistan serves as a vital counter-terrorism partner for the United States, underlining the importance of cooperative efforts in maintaining regional security.

General Flynn’s visit, which occurred in March 2024, emphasized the ongoing commitment to strengthening defense relations between Pakistan and the United States.
