Four CDLU Professors Recognized Among World’s Top Scientists
Four esteemed faculty members from Chaudhary Devi Lal University (CDLU) in Sirsa, India, have been distinguished in the latest list of the world’s top 2% scientists for 2025, published by Stanford University. This accolade reflects their exceptional research contributions in 2024 and throughout their academic careers.
The recognized professors include Prof Sushil Kumar from the Physics department, Prof Joginder Singh Duhan and Dr Pradeep Kumar Saadh from Biotechnology, and Dr Sanju Bala Dhull from Food Science and Technology. Each has demonstrated significant achievements in their respective fields, contributing to advancements in food science, biotechnology, microbiology, and physics.
Prof Duhan boasts over 25 years of experience, having authored more than 130 research papers and mentoring numerous PhD students. Dr Dhull, with over 17 years in research, has published extensively, including books and over 130 academic papers. Both Prof Kumar and Dr Saadh have also made noteworthy contributions, enhancing their fields through impactful research.
According to data from Scopus, these professors have garnered thousands of citations, showcasing the global influence of their work. Their high h-index scores further indicate the substantial quality and reach of their research publications.
The Vice-Chancellor of CDLU, Prof Vijay Kumar, along with other university officials, congratulated the professors for this prestigious recognition, which brings pride to the institution. The announcement has also elicited positive reactions from students and scholars, who celebrate the international acknowledgment of their professors’ accomplishments.
This recognition not only highlights the individual achievements of these scientists but also underscores CDLU’s commitment to fostering high-quality research and academic excellence. As global competition in academia intensifies, such accolades serve to elevate the university’s standing on the world stage.
