Career Counseling Camp Empowers 65 Girls in Bolangir District

A career counseling camp took place on March 17, 2024, at the community centre in Pandesara village, located in the Nuniapali panchayat of the Agalpur block in Bolangir district. The event, co-organized by the Palli Aloka Library and the Azim Premji Foundation, aimed to provide guidance and support to adolescent girls pursuing education and career opportunities.

The camp attracted a total of 65 students from different villages within the Nuniapali, Badatika, and Jharanipali panchayats. Participants included girls studying in Class X, Plus II, and Plus III, all eager to learn about various educational pathways and career options available to them.

Sandeep Kuanr, Ashok Kumar Pradhan, and Hiralal Mishra served as resource persons, offering valuable insights into important topics such as education, health, entrepreneurship, and career development. They emphasized the necessity of self-reliance and encouraged the participants to explore various avenues to achieve their personal and professional goals.

The organizers, including Prahallad Pradhan, Sushanta Sa, Govind Chandra Bishi, Pintu Pradhan, Prashant Kuanr, Barsha Jued, and Namita Pradhan, expressed their commitment to empowering young women through education. They announced that similar training programs will be conducted in the near future to further promote the empowerment and development of girls in the region.

The camp’s positive impact highlights the importance of providing resources and guidance to young women, fostering an environment that encourages their growth and aspirations.
