Police Arrest Another Fake Doctor in Anand District

Authorities in Anand district have apprehended another individual for allegedly practising medicine without a valid degree. On Sunday, the Borsad rural police arrested Ramnaresh Chaudhary, who was operating a clinic near a madrasa in Borsad taluka. This arrest follows the apprehension of Sanjay Rathod, who was detained on October 10 for similar offenses.
Police acted on a tip-off regarding Chaudhary’s activities. Officers from the Borsad rural police, along with Dr Rohankumar Suthar and his team from the Borsad Community Health Centre, conducted an inspection of the clinic. During their visit, they discovered both ayurvedic and allopathic medicines, along with other materials that Chaudhary had been using for medical practice without the necessary certification.
Following the inspection, police seized medicines valued at Rs 11,927 from the premises. Authorities have registered a case against Chaudhary under the Gujarat Medical Practices Act at the Borsad rural police station. This incident underscores ongoing concerns regarding unlicensed medical practices in the region and highlights the efforts of local authorities to combat this issue.
The earlier arrest of Rathod, which occurred near Khoja Park in the same village, reinforces the seriousness of the problem. Both cases have raised alarms about the potential risks posed to patients receiving treatment from individuals lacking proper medical qualifications.
As investigations continue, local authorities are urging the community to report any suspicious medical practices to ensure public safety. The police remain dedicated to addressing this issue and preventing further instances of unlicensed medical activity in Anand district.
