Karnataka Authority Allocates 18,867 Seats in Medical Admissions

The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has released the final results of the second round of seat allotment for undergraduate medical and dental courses, as well as for AYUSH programs. A total of **18,867 seats** have been allocated across these disciplines.
According to KEA Executive Director **H. Prasanna**, the allotments include **9,958 seats** for medical courses, **2,658 seats** for dental courses, and **6,257 seats** for AYUSH courses. This comprehensive allotment process marks a significant milestone in the admissions cycle for the academic year.
Vacancies and Next Steps
Following the second round of allotments, there are still **158 vacant seats** in medical courses, **50 seats** in dental courses, and **6,251 seats** remaining for AYUSH programs. Seats that were allocated in this round but not taken by candidates will be considered for a subsequent mop-up round, providing additional opportunities for prospective students.
Candidates who have received seat allotments in this round are required to pay their fees by **September 26, 2023**, and must report to their respective colleges by **September 28, 2023**. This timeline is crucial for students to secure their places in the courses they have been allotted.
