On March 15, 2024, a significant milestone was reached as 80 MBBS graduates from the 2019 batch received their degrees during a convocation ceremony at the Dayanand Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) in Ludhiana. The event, marking the culmination of years of hard work and dedication, saw the graduates celebrated for their achievements and the promise they hold for the future of healthcare.
The Punjab Minister of Health and Family Welfare, Dr Balbir Singh, served as the chief guest for the ceremony. In his address, he congratulated the graduates on their accomplishments and emphasized the importance of embracing the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead. He stated, “Use technology wisely to promote preventive care, well-being, and a healthy lifestyle within the community,” highlighting the crucial role that innovation plays in modern medicine.
In recognition of academic excellence, a total of 67 certificates and 16 medals were awarded to the merit-holding graduates. Among the distinguished recipients, Dr Shubham Munjal was honored as the best graduate and also received the award for best all-rounder.
