Wamiqa Gabbi Embraces Nostalgia in Upcoming Dharma Productions Film
Bollywood actress Wamiqa Gabbi expressed her excitement about starring in a film produced by Karan Johar‘s Dharma Productions, describing the experience as “surreal.” This upcoming project marks a significant milestone for Gabbi, who feels deeply connected to the legacy of films from this renowned production house.
Gabbi shared her thoughts on this remarkable opportunity in a recent interview, stating, “It feels surreal. I’ve grown up on these films. To now be part of that world is pure joy.” The actress highlighted how Dharma Productions, along with other influential filmmakers like Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Yash Raj Films, shaped her childhood and understanding of cinema. “Those films shaped how I saw cinema,” she reflected, emphasizing the emotional significance of her association with the brand.
Upcoming Projects and Collaborations
Wamiqa Gabbi’s filmography is expanding, with several exciting projects on the horizon. She recently appeared in the fantasy romantic comedy Bhool Chuk Maaf, directed by Karan Sharma, alongside actors Rajkummar Rao and Seema Pahwa.
In addition to her work with Dharma Productions, Gabbi will feature in the drama Kuku Ki Kundali, which stars Bhuvan Bam and is directed by Sharan Sharma, known for his notable work in Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl.
She is also set to star in the much-anticipated sequel, Pati Patni Aur Woh 2, alongside Ayushmaan Khurrana and Sara Ali Khan. This film, directed by Mudassar Aziz, is scheduled for a theatrical release on March 4, 2026, coinciding with the Holi festival.
Another project in the works is Bhoot Bangla, directed by Priyadarshan. This film reunites the iconic trio of Priyadarshan, Akshay Kumar, and Paresh Rawal, and will also feature Tabu, Rajpal Yadav, and Mithila Palkar in key roles. Produced by Shobha Kapoor and Ektaa R Kapoor through Balaji Telefilms in collaboration with Cape of Good Films, Bhoot Bangla is slated for release on April 2, 2026.
Gabbi’s growing presence in the film industry showcases her talent and versatility as an actress. Her enthusiasm for working with Dharma Productions highlights the emotional connection many actors and fans feel towards the company’s celebrated legacy. As she embarks on this new chapter, audiences can look forward to witnessing her evolution in the vibrant landscape of Bollywood cinema.
