Windergy India 2025 Set to Energize Chennai with Global Participation

The 7th edition of Windergy India 2025 will take place from October 29 to 31, 2025, at the Chennai Trade Centre in Chennai. This premier international trade fair and conference aims to showcase the wind energy sector, bringing together exhibitors from more than 20 countries and attracting around 15,000 visitors. Significant participation is expected from leading wind power industries in countries such as Denmark, Germany, and Spain.
Highlighting the importance of this event, Pralhad Joshi, the Union Minister for New and Renewable Energy, along with Shripad Yesso Naik, Minister of State for New and Renewable Energy, will participate in the inaugural session. The event promises to unveil a robust lineup of over 350 exhibitors, providing a platform for engaging discussions and networking opportunities.
Focus on Renewable Energy and Self-Reliance
Themed “Wind Power: Policies and Partnerships Towards Aatmanirbharta,” Windergy India 2025 is designed as a business-to-business platform. It aims to unite policymakers, regulatory authorities, and industry leaders from around the globe. The event will feature high-powered panel discussions and roundtables on October 29 and 30, led by eminent industry professionals.
Girish Tanti, Chairman of the Indian Wind Turbine Manufacturers’ Association, emphasized the critical role of wind energy in achieving a sustainable future. He noted, “As we stand on the cusp of a new era in energy transition, it is imperative to recognize the pivotal role that wind energy plays in shaping a sustainable future.”
In a similar vein, Aditya Pyasi, CEO of the Indian Wind Turbine Manufacturers’ Association, remarked on India’s rapid growth in the renewable energy market. He stated, “India’s quest for Aatmanirbharta in renewable energy is powered by bold policies, strategic partnerships, and faith in indigenous innovation.” Pyasi further described wind power as a cornerstone of India’s national self-reliance.
Support and Collaboration
Windergy India 2025 has garnered support from various governmental bodies, including the Ministry of Power and the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE). The event also receives backing from NITI Aayog and other leading industry organizations. The Karnataka Renewable Energy Development Limited (KREDL) will serve as the Partner State, showcasing Karnataka’s commitment to wind innovation.
As the wind energy sector continues to evolve, Windergy India 2025 is poised to play a significant role in fostering collaborations, promoting technological advancements, and advancing policies that support the global transition towards renewable energy.
