MIDC Industries Association Aims to Transform Hingna into Industrial Hub
The MIDC Industries Association (MIA) has set ambitious goals for the Hingna industrial estate in Maharashtra, aiming to establish it as a model for industrial development. This commitment was reaffirmed during the association’s annual general meeting (AGM), held at the MIA Association Hall in Hingna.
In a gathering led by association president P Mohan, members reviewed activities conducted from September 2024 to August 2025. The meeting included the approval of minutes from the previous AGM, the presentation of the annual report, and the adoption of audited accounts for the fiscal year 2024–25, which were unanimously endorsed by treasurer Manish Sawal. Additionally, auditors for the fiscal year 2026-27 were appointed during the session.
P Mohan used his presidential address to showcase the association’s achievements over the past year. Key highlights included significant infrastructure upgrades, utility reforms, partnerships between industries and academia, skill development initiatives, corporate social responsibility outreach, and cultural programmes. Over 70 initiatives were conducted, which strengthened engagement within the industrial sector.
Looking forward, Mohan emphasized critical priorities for the upcoming year, including the promotion of renewable energy, the establishment of a common effluent treatment plant, digitalisation support for small and medium enterprises (SMEs), and cluster initiatives aimed at fostering collaboration among local businesses. He also stressed the importance of stronger advocacy efforts with government bodies to further support industrial growth.
An interactive session followed the president’s remarks, allowing members to engage in discussions about future strategies. Manish Sawal concluded the meeting with a vote of thanks, reiterating the association’s commitment to advancing industrial development in the region.
The AGM underscored MIA’s vision of transforming MIDC Hingna into a model industrial estate, reflecting the association’s dedication to fostering a robust industrial ecosystem in Maharashtra.
