ICAI Establishes New Branches in Rajasthan to Boost Services

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has announced the establishment of three new district-level branches in Rajasthan, specifically in Jhunjhunu, Churu, and Nagaur. These branches will operate under the Central India Regional Council (CIRC) and are set to officially commence operations on July 1, 2025, as detailed in notifications published in the Gazette of India on July 23, 2025.
The formation of the Jhunjhunu District Branch has been formalized through official notification No. 1-CA(7)/233/2025, which outlines that the headquarters will be located in Jhunjhunu city. This branch will serve the entire district, including Malsisar, Buhana, Chirawa, Mandawa, Nawalgarh, Gudha Gourji, Surjgarh, and Bissau.
Similarly, notification No. 1-CA(7)/232/2025 has confirmed the creation of the Churu District Branch. This new unit will also have its headquarters in Churu, aiming to provide services to major areas within the district, such as Ratangarh, Sardarshahar, Sujangarh, Taranagar, Rajgarh, Rajaldesar, Bidasar, and Sidhmukh.
The Nagaur District Branch, established under notification No. 1-CA(7)/231/2025, will be based in Nagaur city. It will cater to professionals in Nagaur, Ladnun, Nawa, Didwana, Parbatsar, Merta, Makrana, Jayal, and Degana.
Regulatory Framework and Objectives
These branches have been constituted under the authority granted to the ICAI Council by Regulation 159 of the Chartered Accountants Regulations. The new branches will function under the supervision and guidance of the Council through the CIRC. They are required to adhere to directives issued by the ICAI Council to maintain consistent administrative practices and uphold professional standards.
The establishment of these district branches represents a significant strategic advancement for the ICAI in enhancing its outreach and governance infrastructure in Rajasthan. The initiative is expected to improve service delivery for chartered accountants and students in the regions of Jhunjhunu, Churu, and Nagaur.
The notifications regarding the new branches were issued under the authority of CA (Dr.) Jai Kumar Batra, Secretary of ICAI. This move underscores the Institute’s commitment to expanding its services and support for professionals in the accounting field across the state.
By creating these dedicated district units, the ICAI aims to ensure better accessibility and resources for its members, ultimately fostering professional growth and excellence in the region.
