Antonio Tajani Strengthens India-Italy Ties During New Delhi Visit

Antonio Tajani, Italy’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, is set to visit India from December 10 to 12, 2025. This official trip aims to enhance the political and economic ties between India and Italy. Tajani will arrive in New Delhi at 02:00 hrs on December 10, entering through the International Ceremonial Lounge at Terminal 3 of Indira Gandhi International Airport.

The visit comes at a time when both nations are keen to bolster their relationship across various sectors, including trade, investment, and strategic cooperation. On the evening of December 10, Tajani will meet with India’s External Affairs Minister, Dr. S. Jaishankar, at Hyderabad House. Earlier interactions between the two leaders have set a positive tone for the upcoming discussions. Tajani and Jaishankar last met during the 80th United Nations General Assembly in New York in September. In a recent meeting on November 23 at the G20 Summit in Johannesburg, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni expressed a shared commitment to expanding their partnership across key sectors. Modi later noted on the platform X that the “India-Italy Strategic Partnership is growing from strength to strength,” benefiting both nations.

Following his New Delhi meetings, Tajani will travel to Mumbai on December 11 for a series of engagements designed to highlight Italy’s interest in enhancing economic partnerships with India.
