Nita Ambani Unveils Innovative Tree House Learning Hub in Mumbai
The Nita Mukesh Ambani Junior School (NMAJS) in Mumbai celebrated a significant milestone with the inauguration of a two-storey Tree House learning hub. This unique facility, gifted by Founder and Chairperson Nita Ambani in honor of her birthday, is designed to enhance the educational experiences of students from both NMAJS and the Dhirubhai Ambani International School (DAIS).
Innovative Learning Spaces Designed for Exploration
The newly opened Tree House offers a multi-zone learning environment that encourages creativity, exploration, and critical thinking. It features six distinct areas, including the Kids Maker Space, dedicated to hands-on building projects, and a Critical Thinking Area for engaging problem-solving activities.
Students can also enjoy the Free Play Area, which fosters unstructured, imaginative play, and the Performance Corner, designed for storytelling and artistic expression. Additionally, the Puzzle Game Theme Zone provides interactive challenges, while a cozy Library Nook offers a tranquil space for reading, nestled among greenery.
At the inaugural event, Ambani expressed her vision for the Tree House as a place where children can “climb, dream, and discover.” She emphasized the significance of curiosity and joy in childhood, reminding attendees that nature is one of life’s most valuable treasures. Ambani described the essential role of trees, rivers, and the sky in nurturing life and fostering endless possibilities.
Encouraging a Connection to Nature
Ambani urged young learners to appreciate and protect the environment. She hopes that within the Tree House, children will not only find joy and friendship but also develop a lasting respect for nature. This vision aligns with her broader commitment to nurturing children’s emotional, intellectual, and creative growth through engaging outdoor experiences.
School officials noted that the Tree House represents more than just a recreational area; it symbolizes experiential learning. It invites children to explore, reflect, and connect with the world around them. This initiative reflects Ambani’s dedication to fostering well-being and holistic development through thoughtfully designed educational spaces.
With this birthday gift, Ambani reinforces her commitment to creating environments that empower children to thrive academically and emotionally while remaining rooted in the natural world. The Tree House serves as a testament to her vision of education that prioritizes both learning and the joys of childhood.
