LaMelo Ball Faces Injury Concerns as Charlotte Hornets Prepare for Knicks
The Charlotte Hornets face significant injury concerns ahead of their matchup against the New York Knicks on December 3, 2023. Star point guard LaMelo Ball has been listed as probable due to left wrist soreness, raising alarms among fans and team officials. This follows a period of recovery for Ball, who previously missed considerable time with a right wrist injury that required surgical intervention.
In addition to Ball’s situation, forward Brandon Miller has seen his condition worsen. Initially not included in the injury report prior to the recent game against the Brooklyn Nets, Miller has now been ruled out due to a left shoulder subluxation. His sudden absence adds to the Hornets’ challenges as they prepare to take the court.
The team’s injury woes do not stop with Miller. Four other players will also be sidelined during the game at Madison Square Garden. These include Pat Connaughton (right calf strain), Josh Green (left shoulder surgery), Tre Mann (left ankle impingement), and Grant Williams (right knee surgery). With such a depleted roster, the Hornets will need to rely heavily on their remaining players to compete.
Despite a tough start to the season, with a record of 6-15 that places them in 12th position in the Eastern Conference, the Hornets are eager to improve. Their road performance has been particularly disappointing, winning just one of their ten away games so far. The upcoming game against the Knicks, scheduled to tip off at 19:30 EST (16:30 PST), represents a crucial opportunity for the team to turn their fortunes around.
Fans can watch the Hornets take on the Knicks live on the FanDuel Sports Network Southeast and MSG networks. Streaming options are also available through the NBA League Pass and Fubo TV, although regional restrictions may apply.
As the Hornets navigate this challenging period, the health of key players like Ball and Miller will be vital for their aspirations this season. The team and its supporters remain hopeful that Ball can continue to contribute on the court, while Miller’s recovery process will be closely monitored.
