Hindustan Unilever Appoints Vandana Suri as New Home Care Executive Director
Hindustan Unilever Limited (HUL) has announced the appointment of Vandana Suri as the new Executive Director for its Home Care division, effective January 1, 2026. Suri will succeed Srinandan Sundaram, who is set to transition to the role of CEO of Unilever International.
The decision to appoint Suri comes after a recommendation from the Nomination and Remuneration Committee. According to an official exchange filing by HUL, the Board of Directors approved her appointment through a Circular Resolution dated December 1, 2025. In addition to her new role, Suri will also serve as General Manager for the India Home Care Business Unit and will join the Management Committee of the company.
Suri brings a wealth of experience to her new position, having held various leadership roles within HUL. Her extensive background in the consumer goods sector is expected to bolster the company’s Home Care division as it navigates an increasingly competitive market. HUL’s Home Care segment is crucial to its overall portfolio, encompassing a range of well-known brands that cater to diverse consumer needs.
In her new capacity, Suri will be responsible for driving growth strategies and innovation within the Home Care business, aligning with the company’s broader objectives. Her appointment reflects HUL’s commitment to fostering leadership talent from within its ranks, ensuring continuity and strategic alignment as it prepares for future challenges.
The transition marks a significant change for both Suri and Sundaram. As Sundaram steps into his new role, he will focus on enhancing Unilever International’s global operations, aiming to expand the company’s reach and impact. This leadership shift is expected to provide fresh perspectives and strategic directions for both HUL and Unilever International.
Hindustan Unilever Limited is part of the larger Unilever group, which operates in various segments, including food, beverages, and personal care, serving millions of consumers worldwide. The company’s ongoing efforts to adapt and innovate are vital for maintaining its market position in a rapidly evolving industry landscape.
As the new Executive Director, Vandana Suri’s leadership will be pivotal in steering HUL’s Home Care division toward continued success and growth in the coming years.
