Chief Minister Revanth Reddy Advocates Global Branding for Telangana
Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy emphasized the importance of a robust branding strategy for the upcoming Telangana Rising Global Summit, scheduled for December 8-9, during a review meeting held at his residence in Hyderabad on Tuesday. He stated that Hyderabad needs to position itself as a prime destination for international investments.
Focus on Future and Heritage
During the meeting, Revanth Reddy articulated that the branding initiative should not only instill confidence in Telangana’s future but also reflect its rich past and present. He reviewed various promotional materials, including films and videos prepared by different agencies, suggesting several key improvements to enhance their effectiveness.
The Chief Minister directed officials to present a detailed overview of major initiatives planned at Bharat Future City, the summit venue aimed at attracting global delegates. He stressed that promotional content must clearly communicate the facilities, infrastructure, and opportunities available to prospective investors.
Highlighting Hyderabad’s competitive advantages, Revanth Reddy instructed the teams to prominently showcase vital infrastructure projects. These include the Inner Ring Road, Outer Ring Road, the upcoming Regional Ring Road, and proposed links to Bandar Port in Machilipatnam, Andhra Pradesh. He also mentioned the planned dry port facilities, which he believes will enhance the state’s attractiveness for investments.
Integrating Cultural Identity and Innovation
Revanth Reddy noted that Telangana has maintained policy stability since 1999, regardless of governmental changes, which has bolstered investor confidence over the years. He urged officials to creatively weave Telangana-specific icons and heritage into the branding narrative. Suggested elements included the intricate sculptures of Ramappa Temple, the renowned Sammakka-Saralamma Jatara, and unique local wildlife.
Additionally, the Chief Minister highlighted the importance of incorporating prominent figures from the state, such as former Prime Minister P.V. Narasimha Rao, artists, and notable athletes, as part of Telangana’s identity and aspirations.
To maximize outreach, he stressed the need for effective utilization of print, electronic, and digital platforms. The messaging should reflect that Telangana, while deeply rooted in history and culture, is rapidly emerging as a hub for innovation, sustainability, and industrial growth.
Participating in the review meeting were key officials including Duddilla Sridhar Babu, K. Ramakrishna Rao, and Vem Narender Reddy, among others. Their collaborative efforts aim to ensure that the upcoming summit effectively positions Telangana on the global investment map.
