21st ‘Engineer’ Festival Launches at NIT-K, Showcasing Innovation

The 21st edition of the ‘Engineer’ festival commenced on March 15, 2024, at the National Institute of Technology – Karnataka (NIT-K) in Surathkal. This three-day event celebrates technology and innovation, featuring over 30 diverse events designed to inspire creativity and collaboration among participants.
During the inauguration, Mangaluru Police Commissioner Sudheer Kumar Reddy emphasized the significance of innovation in a digitally connected India, where there are over 800 million Internet users. He encouraged attendees to harness their potential, stating, “All great Indian companies began with small ideas. Think big, stay focused, and use every opportunity to build something meaningful.” Reddy highlighted that technical festivals such as ‘Engineer’ provide a vital platform for showcasing talent and exchanging ideas.
In her remarks, Meenakshi Arya, Assistant Commissioner of the Mangaluru sub-division, urged students to pursue their passions with clarity and consistency. She noted that taking small, consistent steps can often yield greater results than sporadic efforts. Arya also acknowledged the role of failure in the growth process, reinforcing its importance in the journey toward success.
