Paige Bueckers and Dominique Malonga Team Up for Unrivaled Action
The upcoming season of the 3-on-3 league, Unrivaled, promises to be exciting as star players Paige Bueckers and Dominique Malonga join forces on the newly formed Breeze BC team. Both athletes are gearing up for the 2026 season, which is set to kick off on January 5, 2026. Their collaboration has already generated buzz among fans, particularly following their impressive performances during the initial training camp at the newly renamed Sephora Arena in Miami.
Training camp, which commenced on Thursday, showcased the dynamic skills of Bueckers and Malonga, particularly in a series of highlights shared by Breeze BC on social media. Clips featured Bueckers delivering alley-oop lobs to the towering 6-foot-6 Malonga, who was drafted as the second overall pick in the 2025 WNBA Draft, just behind Bueckers. The synergy between the two players was palpable, with Bueckers visibly excited after completing a successful assist to her teammate.
Fans have expressed their enthusiasm for this pairing, recognizing the potential impact of Bueckers and Malonga on the court. In addition to Bueckers and Malonga, Breeze BC’s roster includes notable players such as Cameron Brink, Rickea Jackson, Kate Martin, and Aari McDonald. The team will be led by head coach Noelle Quinn, who aims to harness the strengths of each player to compete effectively in the league.
The excitement surrounding the team was further reflected in the social media activity of other players. Cameron Brink, a star with the LA Sparks, joined in the conversation by sharing Breeze’s highlights on her Instagram story. During a recent virtual media day, Bueckers expressed her eagerness to play alongside Brink, highlighting their prior experience as teammates on the Junior USA national and Junior Olympic teams.
Unrivaled’s second season is expected to feature a range of games, including some to be held in Philadelphia. The inaugural season took place entirely at Wayfair Arena in Miami, culminating in a championship victory for Rose BC. Additionally, Chelsea Gray of the Las Vegas Aces was named the first Unrivaled Finals MVP, setting a high standard for the upcoming season.
As the league prepares for its return, the collaboration of Bueckers and Malonga, along with the entire Breeze BC roster, will be closely watched by fans and analysts alike. With their combined talents, the team aims to make a significant impact in the competitive landscape of women’s 3-on-3 basketball.
