The North Delhi Strikers claimed victory over the Outer Delhi Warriors by 19 runs in a gripping match held at the Arun Jaitley Stadium on August 7, 2025. Successfully defending their total of 163, the Strikers restricted the Warriors to 144 for 9 in their allotted 20 overs.
Chasing a target of 164, the Outer Delhi Warriors started their innings with promise but ultimately fell short. Despite his effort, the Warriors struggled to build the necessary momentum as wickets fell at critical moments.
Sanat Sangwan provided steady support with a measured 32 runs off 33 balls. However, the team failed to accelerate during the middle overs, missing crucial partnerships that could have shifted the game in their favour.
The North Delhi Strikers’ bowling attack emerged as a decisive factor in the match. Vikas Dixit stood out with exceptional figures of 3 for 19 in his four overs. His performance was complemented by Kuldip Yadav, who also took three wickets with figures of 3 for 32. Additionally, Harshit Rana contributed with two wickets, further bolstering the Strikers’ defense.

Opener Sarthak Ranjan was the standout performer, scoring 77 runs off 50 balls, which included seven boundaries and five sixes, achieving a strike rate of 154.00. His innings laid a solid foundation for the Strikers as they navigated the challenges posed by the Warriors’ bowling unit.
Vaibhav Kandpal also played a valuable role, contributing 38 runs off 33 balls before being dismissed by Kamal Bairwa. The opening partnership established a firm base, although the middle order faced some resistance from the Warriors’ bowling attack.
The contributions from the middle order included Yajas Sharma with 8 runs off 8 balls and a quick cameo from Pranav Rajvanshi, who added 8 runs off just 5 balls, including a six. Notably, Arjun Rapria finished unbeaten with 17 runs off 9 balls, ensuring the Strikers reached a respectable total.
On the bowling front, the Outer Delhi Warriors were led by Harsh Tyagi, who was the most economical bowler with figures of 2 for 19 from four overs, maintaining an impressive economy rate of 4.80.
