Karnataka Rajatha Cup 2025 Player Auction Kicks Off Excitement

The Player Auction for the highly anticipated Karnataka Rajatha Cup Cricket Tournament took place on September 21, 2023, in Doha. Organized by the Karnataka Sangha Qatar (KSQ) in collaboration with the Karnataka Royals Team, this event marks a significant highlight in KSQ’s silver jubilee celebrations. The tournament is scheduled to run from October 14 to 17, 2025, featuring eight competitive teams: Hannan Cricket Club, Smart Qatar, Royal Qatar, United Challengers, Udupi Cricketers, Alliance Qatar, Invincible CC, and BT Gang.

The auction was held at the Hotel Signature by Marza, with Chidanand Rai serving as the energetic host. He began the evening by introducing Raghuram Pujari, a key organizer, who welcomed guests, sponsors, and participating teams, expressing gratitude for their enthusiasm and support.

The first phase of the auction unfolded with professionalism led by Ramshi, who set an exciting tone for the evening. Following this, dignitaries took to the stage, including Ravi Shetty, President of KSQ; Mahesh Gowda, Advisory Chairman; and Dr. Sanjay Kudari, Tournament Director. Their presence underscored the event’s importance, as they celebrated the significance of the Rajatha Cup during KSQ’s milestone year.

Formal Ceremony and Jersey Launch

As the auction progressed, the draw for team pools was conducted, leading to the official unveiling of team jerseys. Notable figures such as Christine Lobo, President of MCC, and Imran Bawa, President of SKMWA, presented the jerseys to team management. The event also acknowledged sponsors like Shubham Agarwal of Mackins, highlighting the collaborative spirit that supports the tournament.

In a heartfelt vote of thanks, LG Patil, Joint Secretary, recognized the generous contributions of sponsors, including Ultimate Trading & Contracting, Nikhil and Madura Infra Pvt Ltd, and several others. The presence of the entire Karnataka Royals Team, including players like Shamsheer Uchila and Naseer Nadapadav, demonstrated their unwavering commitment to the tournament.

After a sumptuous dinner, Ramshi returned to efficiently conclude the final phase of the player auction.
