DIPR-JK Celebrates Winners of Creative Competitions in Srinagar
On March 9, 2024, the Department of Information and Public Relations (DIPR) in Jammu and Kashmir recognized the achievements of winners from various competitions during a ceremony held at the Office of Joint Directorate Information in Srinagar. Joint Director Information, Syed Shahnawaz Bukhari, led the event, which was attended by several officials, including Deputy Director Information (PR) Kashmir, Mohammad Rafiq, and Culture Officer, Burhan Hussain.
Recognition of Talent and Creativity
The felicitation ceremony highlighted the accomplishments of participants in competitions such as the Essay Competition on National Press Day, the National Anthem Singing Competition, and various painting and essay writing contests. Bukhari interacted with the winners, extending his congratulations and commending their creativity, talent, and enthusiasm.
During his address, Bukhari emphasized the significance of these competitions in fostering expression, enhancing awareness of vital national themes, and promoting artistic and intellectual development among participants. He reaffirmed DIPR’s commitment to supporting creative and informative initiatives through regular cultural and literary activities.
A Notable Achievement
Among the honorees was Bilal Bashir Bhat, Editor-in-Chief of Onlykashmir.in and Srinagar Jang Daily, who secured third place in the essay writing competition. His essay, titled “The Evolving Nature of Media in the Age of Artificial Intelligence,” was well-received during the event.
The ceremony not only celebrated individual achievements but also underscored the department’s role in nurturing talent within the community. By organizing such events, DIPR demonstrates its dedication to enriching the cultural landscape of Jammu and Kashmir.
